Troup to face Hemphill in Area contest
Tigers defeat Elks for bi-district title
      The Tigers survived a late rally by Elkhart in game two of their best-of-three meeting to advance to the round of Area to meet Hemphill. The first game will be 6 p.m. Friday at Carthage, with game two 1 p.m. Saturday at Central Pollock. Game three will follow if necessary.

      Troup's All Sports Athletic Banquet is scheduled Tuesday, May 20 at Troup High School. Dinner will be served in the cafeteria at 6 p.m., with the awards ceremony immediately following in the auditorium. Sadler's Restaurant is catering the banquet.

JV Ladycats finish 12-3

Whitehouse FFA ends year at Kiepersol
      The Whitehouse high school FFA show team competed in their final competition of the year recently at the East Texas Junior Invitational Show on the Kiepersol grounds in Bullard. Five members of the team showed a total of eight projects that they constructed.
