Community Activities

Jam session and sing along

Jam session and sing along runs from 1:30-4 p.m. on Friday, April 24. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate. Acoustic instruments only. Music includes Country, Bluegrass and Gospel. TASCA members are free. Guests are $1 each. TASCA is located at 10495 CR 2167 (Jim Russell Rd), Whitehouse.

TWCO meets

The Troup Women’s Civic Organization will meet on Monday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Troup High School Auditorium. The Troup Tiger Band will perform. Guests are welcome to attend.

Troup FFA rabies clinic

Troup FFA will host a rabies clinic at the Troup FFA Ag shop on the Troup High School campus on Thursday, April 30 at 6 p.m. Dr. John Alexander and the friendly staff of the Bullard Vet Clinic will be on hand to administer the vaccination while FFA members help patrons with their animals and the paperwork.

Troup Rotary Crawfish Boil

Troup Rotary Club is heating up for the annual Crawfish Boil on Friday, May 1, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. in the Troup Bank & Trust parking lot. Pre-order now at 903-539- 4507 or 903-842-5100. $6/pound served with corn and potatoes. Proceeds go to scholarships for THS seniors.

YMCA Summer Soccer

Summer soccer registration is under way at the Whitehouse YMCA for children ages 3-14. For more information contact the Whitehouse YMCA at 903-839- 9622 or stop by at 301 Terry St.

Library hours

Regular library hours for the Whitehouse Community Library are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 11 a.m.- 6 p.m., Fridays 11-5 and Saturdays 11-3. Story time is on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. Contact the library at 903- 839-2949 for more information.

Regular hours for the Cameron-J. Jarvis Troup Municipal Library are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 1-5 p.m. Thursday 3-7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call the library at 903-842-3101 for more information.

American Legion weekly events

American Legion in Troup at 301 Magnolia has karaoke every Sunday 7-11 p.m. Pool tournaments begin at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday night.

Church Activities

Bascom UMC hosts breakfast

The Bascom United Methodist Church on FM 848 hosts breakfast the last Saturday of the month from 8 - 9:30 a.m. A full breakfast meal is served and donations are accepted.

Walking/Exercise class

Gateway Baptist Church holds a walking and exercise classes Monday-Friday, 8:30-10 a.m. The cost is only $7/month.

Whitehouse City Council to meet

Whitehouse City Council will meet Tuesday, April 28 at 6 p.m. in the Whitehouse City Council and Court chambers at 311 E. Main.
