Area Christmas services

WH First Assembly of God

Christmas candlelight communion service is set for Sunday Dec. 21, 10:30 a.m.

FBC Troup

First Baptist Church of Troup will hold a Children’s Manger Scene at their 11 a.m. service on Sunday, Dec. 21. A candlelight service will follow that evening at 6 p.m.

WH UMC

Whitehouse United Methodist Church will perform a Christmas cantata during both services on Sunday, Dec. 21, 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. Christmas Eve service will be at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24.

First UMC Troup

“O Come Emmanuel” is the title of the annual Cantata presented by the First United Methodist Choir on Sunday, Dec. 21 at 6:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

FBC Whitehouse

Christmas Eve services are set for Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 4:30 and 6 p.m. “Christmas Changes Everything” is a musical drama performed by the full choir, band and actors.

Prince of Peace

The Prince of Peace Catholic Church will hold several Christmas services over the next week. They include Sunday, Dec. 21, 6 p.m., Reconcilation Service; Wednesday, Dec. 24, 5 p.m. Christmas Vigil Mass in English and 7 p.m., Christmas Vigil Mass in Spanish; Thursday, Dec. 25, 10 a.m., Christmas Day Mass - Bilingual; Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, 10 a.m., New Year's Day Mass - Bilingual.

Holiday closing/hours/schedules

WH library

The Whitehouse Community Library will be closed Dec. 21-28 as well as Jan. 1.

Troup library

The Cameron-J. Jarvis Troup Municipal library will close Dec. 24-27 and Jan. 1 for the holidays.

City of Whitehouse

The offices of the City of Whitehouse will be closed Dec 24-Dec 25, Jan 1 and close at noon on Dec 31.

City of Troup

City of Troup offices will be closed Dec. 24-26 and Jan 1.

Newspaper schedule

The Tri County Leader office will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Deadlines for news and ad submission is noon on the Friday prior to that week’s publication.
