Jam session and sing along runs from 1:30-4 p.m. on Friday, March 27. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate. Acoustic instruments only. Music includes Country, Bluegrass and Gospel. TASCA members are free. Guests are $1 each. TASCA is located at 10495 CR 2167 (Jim Russell Rd), Whitehouse.
AARP driver safety program offered
The next AARP Driver Safety course is set for Wednesday, April 1, 12:30-4:40 p.m., at Green Acres Baptist Church. The cost for AARP members is $15 with non-members paying $20. After completion of the 4 hour course you may be entitled to a discount on your automobile insurance. Contact Harry H. TASCA Thursday morning dance
Every Thursday, 10 a.m. to noon, the sounds of Willowridge Music cranks up for your Country and Western dancing pleasure at TASCA. Whether you enjoy a waltz, some boot scootin’ or just like to listen to the music, come join the folks at TASCA for a little daytime dancing. Admission is free for members and $1 for guests. Get up and move
Get in the groove and on the move with your friends at Tyler Area Senior Citizens Association in Whitehouse. On Wednesday and Friday mornings, 9:30- 10:30 a.m., senior adults gather to flex their muscles and tone up for life beyond the rocking chair. The typically includes cardio, muscle toning and stretching exercise set at a pace that everyone’s pacemaker can keep up with. The cost is $4 per class for TASCA members and $5 for non-members.

Whitehouse Recycle Center is open Wednesdays from 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m. Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Avenue. Troup has a self-service recycling receptacle. The Allied Waste Recycling bin is located at the corner of W. Bradford and N. Georgia.
American Legion weekly events
American Legion in Troup at 301 Magnolia has karaoke every Sunday 7-11 p.m. Pool tournaments begin at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday night.
Bascom UMC hosts breakfast
The Bascom United Methodist Church on FM 848 hosts breakfast the last Saturday of the month from 8 - 9:30 a.m. A full breakfast meal is served and donations are accepted.
