Monday accident A Selma City, Texas, driver lost control of his S-10 Chevrolet pickup and crashed into the brick sign in front of the Methodist church in downtown Troup on Monday. Other than the driver, 42-year-old Phillip Storey, no one was hurt. Storey was taken to ETMC for treatment of undetermined injuries. The accident took place at about 4:50 p.m. Investigating officer Mark Turner of the Troup Police Department found an open container of beer in the vehicle and said a charge for that violation will be filed.
