Masonic officers installation in Whitehouse

The Henr y Marsh Bell Masonic Lodge #1371 of Whitehouse will install new officers for 2006-2007 on Saturday, July 8, at the lodge at 2 p.m. The public is invited.

Whitehouse library activities

The Whitehouse Library offers these activities: free English as a Second Language classes on Thursdays at 7 p.m. at the Library: scrapbooking nights are the third Friday of each month at 6:30 p.m.; the Whitehouse Library Board meets at 5 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at the Library. Come visit the library!

Fibromyalgia support group meeting July 11

The Tyler Area Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue & Rheumatic Illness Support Group will meet Tuesday, July 11, at First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 230 Rusk & College (entrance on College). Registration begins at 1:15 p.m. The program is from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The program will be an open discussion format. Please bring information to share or questions that you want answered. Visitors are welcome. Please NO perfume!

Troup American Legion meets July 11

Troup American Legion will meet Tuesday, July 11, at 7 p.m. at the Legion Hall.

Troup VFW Post #3501 will meet Thursday, July 13, at 7 p.m. at the Troup Library.

Quilter's Guild of East Texas meets July 13

The Quilter's Guild of East Texas will meet Thursday, July 13, at 10 a.m. at the TASCA building, 3402 Old Omen Rd. in Tyler.

ETGS meets July 8

East Texas Genealogical Society will hold it regular monthly meeting on Saturday, July 8 at 2 p.m. at the Tyler Public Library in the Taylor Auditorium Tresa Tatyrek. Ms. Tatyrek's program is called "So You Want To Put Your Research On TheInternet." ETGS meeting are free and open to the public. Karing Kitchen

The Karing Kitchen offers free hot meals to anyone in need on Monday evenings from 6-7 p.m. The Karing Kitchen is sponsored by five Tyler Churches of Christ and is located at 420 W. Erwin in the fellowship building of West Erwin Church of Christ. For information, call 903-592-0809.

Day to speak at SCHS meeting July 11

The Smith County Historical Society will meet July 11, instead of its regular time so as not to conflict with the Fourth of July holiday. The July 11 meeting will feature a slide presentation by Whitehouse sculptor Jim Day. Meetings of the Smith County Historical Society are held at 7 p.m. at the Carnegie History Center, 125 South College Avenue in Tyler. Meetings are open to members, their guests and the general public.

Troup American Legion Activities

Troup American Legion has Steak Night every Friday at 6 p.m. Bring your own steak. Steak fixins' are $3. Hamburger Night is every Tuesday night at 6 p.m.

AARP Driver Safety Program

AARP Driver Safety Program will be held July 10 & 11 from 15 p.m. at the Whitehouse Senior Citizen Center at 118 Railroad Ave. Contact Cathy Linney at 903-839-7789 for information.

Faith Conference July 13-15

The Bethany Word of Life Tabernacle members will host a Faith conference, at their church, July 13-15. Bethany Word of Life Tabernacle is located at 6808 Paluxy Drive, in Tyler. For more information call 903-839-7846.

Tiger Tennis Camp July 10-14

Tiger Tennis Camp will be July 10-14 at Troup High School tennis courts. The camp is for boys and girls ages 5-16. Campers will learn basic tennis fundamentals, play games and win prizes. Call 903-842-2566 for pre-registration, cost and class times.

Two Wildcards at Up-A-Creek Coffee Co.

Playing this Friday, July 7, at the Up-A-Creek Coffee Co. in Whitehouse is the country duo Two Wildcards, comprised of Judge Mitch Shamburger and attorney Eric Jensen. Music is from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. There is a cover charge.
