Salvation Army Christmas sale starts Friday

It's time to deck the halls with all the Christmas items for sale at the annual Salvation Army Auxiliary Christmas sale. This festive sale begins Friday, Nov. 17 from 4-8 p.m. and continues on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 9-3 p.m. The sale building is located at 717 Spring St. in Tyler behind the Salvation Army Thrift Store. The thrift store is located at 633 N. Broadway.

Troup drummer presents clinic

Troup's own Paul Leim, world renowned drummer will present a drum clinic Friday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. at Grace Community School auditorium. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at American Band Instrument Service at 124 Shelley Dr. in Tyler.

Compassionate Friends group meets

The Compassionate Friends of Tyler, a support group for families who have experienced the death of a child, will meet Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at 707 W. Houston. For additional information please visit our website at www.TylerTCF.org or call 903- 258-2547 or 903-780-7104.

Wildcat community pep rally on Thursday

A community-wide playoff pep rally will be held Thursday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. in the arena at Whitehouse High School. Come cheer on the Wildcats to victory.

Troup pep rally set for Friday

The Troup Tigers will be sent off to the playoffs in style with a pep rally to be held Friday, Nov. 17 at 2:30 in the high school gym.

Businesses host tailgate party for Tiger fans

Austin Bank and Brookshire's in Troup will host a tailgate party for Tiger fans from 5:45-7 p.m. on Saturday in the parking lot across from the stadium in Athens.

Baptists and Boosters set tailgate party

The First Baptist Church of Whitehouse and the Whitehouse Athletic Boosters are sponsoring a huge tailgate party prior to the Wildcat's first playoff game. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served from 11-1 on Saturday in the homeside parking lot near the tower. Bring your own lawn chair.

Youth basketball sign up deadline nears

Registration deadline is Nov. 18 for all boys grades Pre-K through the 8th grade who want to play basketball in the Whitehouse Youth League. For more information contact WHS Head Boys Basketball Coach Wally Dawkins at 903-839-5541 or 903-839-2070.

Monday night football films shown in Troup

Come relive the playoffs. Troup's Athletic Booster Club presents Monday Night Football (Troup Tigers vs Kerens in Athens) on Monday, Nov. 20, at Zavalla's Pizza & Wings Restaurant in downtown Troup at 7 p.m.
