Dorothy Sue Anderson

Dorothy Sue Howell Anderson, 70, Whitehouse, passed away Oct. 19, at her residence. She was born Sept. 3, 1936, in Joaquin, to Hiram and Ruth Cook Howell. Ms. Anderson was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was very active in school activities and was a member of the Gateway Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Oct. 23, 2006, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center, with Rev. James Duncan and Rev. Elmer Matthews officiating. Interment followed at Neuville Cemetery in Shelby County.

Survivors include: sons, Carrol Lee Anderson and wife Judy. Duson, La., Bobby Lynn Anderson, Scott, La., Michael Joe Anderson, Scott, La., Terry Glynn Anderson and wife Michelle, Merrimack, N.H.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Howell and wife Ann, Shreveport, La., James Howell, Joaquin; sisters, Helen Brown, Longview, Barbara Latimer and husband Jack, Joaquin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram and Ruth Cook Howell; husband, Leonard E. Anderson; and brothers-inlaw, Thomas Earl Brown and Novice Lamar Anderson.
