Troup picture day set for Nov. 15

Troup ISD will have their school picture retake day on Wednesday, Nov. 15. Any new student or anyone absent will need to have their picture made for the yearbook.

Original packages must be returned for retakes.

Cain Elementary plans book fair

Cain Elementary School is having their annual Scholastic Book Fair on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be held in the gym, and Clifford the Big Red Dog will be there all day. Everyone Is Invited!

All money earned helps teachers build their classroom libraries.

WH junior high hosting fall dance

A fall festival dance for Whitehouse Junior High students is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10 in Nix Gym. Cost to attend is $6. This event is only for Whitehouse Junior High students.

Sponsored by the Art Department, the dance will feature a king and queen contest and free music give-aways. Concessions will be sold by Principal David Smith and the office crew.

Higgins book sale runs Nov. 7-10

The Higgins Intermediate Library will be having its annual Scholastic Book Fair Nov. 7-10.

Purchasing begins on Family Night, Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 6-8 p.m. The fair will then be open from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Friday.

The community is invited to attend.

Horticulture students selling bedding plants

The horticulture students of Whitehouse High School have been busy preparing for their annual fall bedding plant and Christmas poinsettia sales.

Ready for purchase are pansies, snap dragons, dianthus, ornamental cabbage and kale. They are $6 per flat of 18.

To add more fall color to your garden check out the mums available in yellow, white, red and bronze. These six inch pots are $2 each.

Orders are being taken for $5 red, white and pink poinsettias. Call the greenhouse at 903- 839-5572 and leave your name, phone number, quantity and color.

Poinsettias will be ready for pick up the week after Thanksgiving.

Pre-ordering is highly recommended. They are usually sold out by Thanksgiving.
