The Whitehouse 8th grade was in action last Thursday at home against the Henderson Lions.
In the "B" game, the Wildcats came out on the short end of the score as the Lions took home the win by the score of 8-0. The "A" team continued its undefeated march through the district by defeating the Lions, 25-6.
The Wildcats wasted little time getting on the board as Shundrick Beasley would end the opening drive with a 30-yard TD run, and the PAT by Jonathan Parker staked the Cats to an early 7-0 lead.
The Wildcats scored their second touchdown of the night on a 65-yard TD pass from QB Preston Conder to Conner Cashion to go up 13-0.
With the Wildcat defense continuing to dominate play throughout the game, the of- fense would get several opportunities to score during the contest.
After a pass to Trey Metoyer, the Cats got down to the Lion one-yard line, and Conder picked up the touchdown on the next play to extend the lead to 19-0.
Quincy Aldridge got in on the act in the fourth quarter with a 70-yard TD run to finish the scoring for the Wildcats on the night. The Lions picked up a late score to end the game at 25-6.
The Wildcats will play their final home game tonight as they play host to Marshall with the "B" game starting at 5:30 and "A" game following.
With two more wins, the Wildcats will be the first junior high team to win district since the eighth grade class of 2002, which are now seniors on the varsity.
