Richard 'Rick' Smart

FLINT - Graveside services for Richard C. "Rick" Smart, 62, Flint, were held Nov. 4 at Liberty Hill Memorial Gardens under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors, Tyler.

Mr. Smart died Oct. 31 in Tyler.

He was born Dec. 25, 1943, in Mexia to the late TP McClendon and Verbie Rushing Smart. He was a construction crew foreman for All Pro Services.

Survivors include sons, Shane Smart and Jody Smart, both of Tyler, and Mark Aldridge, Marion Center, Pa.; daughters, Brandy Smart, Tyler, Kim Burns, Whitehouse, Fallon Smart, Dallas, and Crystal Harvey, Troup; brothers, Lynnis Smart, Lindale, and Russell Smart, Tyler; sisters, Rita Nixon, Tyler, Rhonda Melton, Alba, and Carol Nowlin, Daytona Beach, Fla.; companion, Janice Aldridge, Flint; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Gatlin, Mark Aldridge, Lynnis Smart, Russell Smart, Shane Smart, Robin Smart and Chris Norris.
