Dance Premiere aims to entertain

The First Ladies drill team performs to "I Love Rock and Roll," which will be featured in the Fall Dance Premiere.
The Whitehouse High School is hosting the "Fall Dance Premiere" on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. in the Wildcat Arena. This evening of dance routines will include performances by the national champion First Ladies drill team, the First Ladies officers, the WHS Dance Department, and the "Dancing Dolls."

The First Ladies drill team will perform an exciting "Rock and Roll" routine to a mix of songs everyone is sure to remember. The First Ladies officers will perform a jazz routine to "SOS, Somebody Help Me!" and include Dru Dawkins, Whitney Greeney, Rachel Lunsford, Rachel Marble and Laura Viergever.

Students enrolled in dance classes at WHS will be highlighted in the show. Currently, the dance department has approximately 150 dancers from freshmen to senior grade level. These talented young ladies will entertain with many extraordinary pieces from dance genres including jazz, tap, hip hop, modern, and lyrical.

The audience will certainly enjoy seeing the "Dancing Dolls." This group of dancers from Kindergarten through 12th grade recently attended a workshop taught by the First Ladies and will perform a variety of routines choreographed just for this special group.

"Dancing Dolls" are all smiles following the workshop with the First Ladies drill team, where they learnen routines for the Fall Dance Premiere.
"Dolls" from Kindergarten through second grade will come alive to the music of "Jungle

Book" while Dolls third through fifth grade will dance to music from Hannah Montana.

The older "Dolls" will be full of energy as they perform to mixes of popular hip hop songs.

The performance will last approximately one hour.
