Wildcats win district crown
Championship first since 1978
     The Smurfs appeared on TV for the first time. This year also marked the birth of the first testtube baby, and the movie "Superman" was released starring Christopher Reeves. In addition, Space Invaders became the first-ever arcade video game.

     The Whitehouse JV was defeated on the road last week by Marshall, 34-6.

Troup JV rules Bears, 42-16
     The Troup Tiger junior varsity roared back from last week's game against Elysian Fields (called 10-8 at halftime in favor of the Yellow Jackets), to defeat Timpson, 42-16. The Tigers are 5-4-2 on the year, and finish their season tonight against Garrison.
