Senior night makes victory extra special

Junior Jon Harvell reacts after the team's victory over Marshall.
As the coaches, players, classmates, and parents stood on the field after the Wildcat win over Marshall, the pride was evident in what has truly been a season for the ages in Whitehouse football history.

This game, on senior night, was the last at Wildcat Stadium for many of the players, and every person on that field could feel the sense of joy those players were feeling for what they had accomplished.

This year's senior class members were sophomores when Coach McFarlin came to Whitehouse, and they have endured two tough years to get to this moment.

The hard work and countless hours given by the coaching staff and the players each week have paid off in a district championship.

When many outside this small town did not give the Wildcats a chance, the kids and coaches believed, and with each victory, a growing number of supporters believed.

Now with the playoffs right around the corner, the community needs to believe that the best for this year's Wildcats is still to come.
