The Whitehouse freshman maroon team picked up a big road win last Thursday night in Marshall defeating the Mavericks 22-12.

Then, with three minutes remaining in the game, the Wildcats scored again with Josh McGill on the receiving end of a 30-yard TD pass from Smith. Taylor Burns connected on the PAT, giving the Cats the lead, 13-12.

On the ensuing kickoff, Roderick Johnson recovered the pooch kick by Burns and two plays later, Johnson went the distance on a 35-yard TD run. Burns' PAT extended the Wildcat lead to 20-12.

The Wildcat special teams would then come up big with a tackle on the ensuing kickoff, backing the Mavericks up inside their own five yard line. Two plays later, Montrel Walker tackled the Marshall QB in the end zone for a two-point safety, finishing the score at 22-12.
