Marshall defeats Cats

The Whitehouse JV was defeated on the road last week by Marshall, 34-6.

The Mavericks jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead, as they found the end zone on the first two possessions of the game. Both scores came via the airways, as the QB hit receivers on TD passes of 32 and 30 yards.

The Mavericks continued to pour it on as a 15-yard TD run by the QB extended the lead to 21-0, and then an interception led to another score, this time a 2-yard run to put the lead at 28- 0.

The Wildcats finally got on the board in the second half as an interception led to a 2-yard TD run by Marco Hernandez to put the score at 28-6 before Marshall scored one more time to end the game at 34-6.

The JV will finish the season at home tonight against the Nacogdoches Dragons with game time at 7:30.
