Thomas Broughton

Memorial services for Thomas Broughton, 59, Elk Grove, Calif., formerly of Tyler, were held Nov. 18 under direction of Southeast Lawn Mortuary, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, Calif.

Mr. Broughton died Nov. 11, in Sacramento, Calif.

He was born Aug. 26, 1947, in Tyler. He attended Tyler schools and graduated in 1965 from Emmett Scott High School. He worked for Pacific Gas & Electric of California, and was preceded in death by his father, E.B. "Tony" Broughton.

Survivors include his wife, Flora Cooper Broughton, Elk Grove, Calif.; son, Michael A. Broughton, Elk Grove, Calif.; daughter, C. Suzanne Broughton, Elk Grove, Calif.; mother, Lilie Trimble Broughton, Whitehouse; brothers, Walter Broughton and Reginald D. Broughton, both of Houston, and Donjuan L. Broughton, San Antonio; sisters, Esther Broughton Milton, Tyler, and Regina Broughton Smith, Houston; and one grandchild.
