Short, Turner exchange vows

Wendie Ann Short and Daniel Ray Turner, both of Whitehouse, exchanged wedding vows on November 18 at Green Acres Baptist Church. Rev. Ron Wells officiated the ceremony.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony McCoy of Whitehouse, is a graduate of Whitehouse High School and the University of Texas at Tyler. She is a second grade teacher for Whitehouse ISD.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Turner of Whitehouse. He is a graduate of Whitehouse High School, Southwest Texas Junior College and attended The University of Texas at Tyler. He is a project manager for Morris Drywall in Whitehouse.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a two-piece, lace and taffeta strapless, A-line, corset back gown. The lace bodice was accented with taffeta ornamenting the empire waistline and sprinkled with crystals. The taffeta skirt was caught up richly creating a full A-line silhouette. She carried a bouquet of fresh flowers with pink and yellow Gerber daisies and yellow roses.
Mrs. Kristen Ray of Lewisville served as Matron of Honor. Mr. Clay Wills of Whitehouse served as the bride's Best Man. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Brandi Harry of Tyler and Mrs. Mandy Turner of Georgia. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Morgan McCoy of Whitehouse, sister of the bride.
Mr. Matt Gilbert of Tyler served as Best Man. Mrs. Alley Carter of Longview served as the groom's matron of honor. Groomsmen were Mr. James Weaver and Mr. Jarrod Morris, both of Tyler.
House party members were Ms. Sandra Love, Mrs. Judy Stanley, Mrs. Melissa Peveto, Miss Melissa Steddum, Mrs. Sara Wilson, Miss Amanda Shamise, and Miss Jennifer Ratcliffe. Vocalists were Mr. Scott Green and Mrs. Becky Gaddis.
A reception in the Galilee Room followed the ceremony.
The bridal table included a four tiered wedding cake on a silver cake stand adorned with fresh yellow mini Gerber daisies along with miniature pink roses. Swarovski crystals studded the monogrammed sterling silver initials which topped the cake.
The couple will reside in Whitehouse.
