Lady Cats drop close one to JT

The Whitehouse Lady Cats were in action last Tuesday before Thanksgiving break as they hosted the John Tyler Lady Lions.

The Lady Cats would fight hard against the Lady Lions and would only be down by three points at the half. The Lady Cats would come back with a strong third period to tie the score at 27 heading into the fourth quarter. However, the Lady Cats would fall short at the end as the Lady Lions would take a one point victory, 39-38.

Caroline Perrier would have the hot hand from outside for the Lady Cats hitting three 3-pointers on her way to a game high of 13 points. Brittani Toole would follow with 9 points, and Kayla Mason would chip in with 7 for the game.

In the JV game, the Lady Cats would be defeated by the Lady Lions 60-14, and in the freshman game, the Lady Lions would pull out a close one over the Lady Cats, 22- 20.

The Lady Cat varsity would fall to Hughes Springs the night before by the score of 59- 33 as Toole and Mason would lead the way for the Lady Cats with 9 and 8 points, respectively.

These games followed a strong showing in the Austin tournament in which the Lady Cats fell to Class 5A Pfugerville, 62-23, and Temple, 46-27, and picking up a victory over Johnston 58-41.
