Local gardening guide on sale Give your favorite gardener the 2007 Northeast Texas Gardening Guide and Calendar. Written by the Smith County Master Gardeners, a volunteer organization of Texas Cooperative Extension, the calendar provides a wealth of information for the Northeast Texas region. The Guide lists a month-bymonth “to-do” list on plant care, bed preparation, pest, disease and weed control, plus frequently asked questions. This year the guide will also feature information on growing Texas Superstars, Earthkind Roses, Hummingbird & Butterfly Gardens, Edible Gardens, Companion Planting, Organic Gardening and Water Gardening.
