HOLIDAY CANNED FOOD DRIVE
Higgins helps Project Joy

Mrs. Booker’s fourth-graders took first place.
The schools in Whitehouse ISD did their share of donating money and food during Project Joy 2006.

Higgins Intermediate awarded uniquely designed trophies to the top three classes in each grade level.

In Pre-K, first place went to Mrs. Gill’s class. They brought in 71 cans. In second place was Mrs. J. Williams’ class with 53 cans. Third place went to Mrs. Patterson’s class. They donated 38 canned items.

The third grade’s top class was Mrs. S. Williams with 405 cans. Mrs. Sheppard’s class took second with 387 cans and Mrs. Peddy/Mrs. Psencik’s class took third with 353 cans.

Fourth grade saw Mrs. Booker’s class in first place

bringing in 1,619 cans. Mrs. Groce’s class came in second place with 1,371 cans. Mrs. Alexander’s class took third place with 1,144 cans.

Higgins Intermediate classes brought in a total of 6,836 food items.
Mrs. Groce’s fourth-graders won second place.
Mrs. Alexander’s fourth-graders won third place.
Mrs. Williams’ third-grade class earned first place.
Mrs. Sheppard’s third-graders finished in second place.
Mrs. Peddy/Psencik’s third-graders won third place.
Mrs. Gill’s Pre-K class received first place in the canned food drive.
Mrs. Williams’ Pre-K class earned second place.
Mrs. Patterson’s Pre-K class won third place.
