The Whitehouse Wildcats made the short trip into Tyler last Friday to take on the Crusaders of T. K. Gorman and came away with a convincing 63- 36 victory.

The Wildcats would not find things that easy in the first half as they would only build a 26-21 lead at the half.

However, the Cats would come out in the second half, and behind their full court pressure defense, they would turn a close game into a rout.

Cade Clark would lead a well balanced scoring attack with 16 points while Kyle Ford would add 13, Brady Parker would pour in 12, and Luke Shivers and Mitch Marquis would add 10 each.

“We played poorly in the first half and did not execute the same game plan as we did when we played them at home in our first meeting,” stated Coach Wally Dawkins.

“I was proud of the fact that we came out in the second half and played with the type of spirit we did. Our pressure defense, along with dominating on the boards in the second half, led to the big difference in the end,” said Coach Dawkins.

Next up for the Wildcats is a game against the Grace Cougars next Wednesday, Dec. 27 at 8:30 p.m. at the 2006 Wagstaff Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament.
