JV, frosh earn wins

The Wildcat JV and 9th grade teams were in action last Friday at T.K. Gorman. The JV Wildcats would suffer through a sluggish first half to outscore Gorman 15-6 in the third quarter on their way to a 42-29 victory.

Drew Flynn and Seth Cashion would lead a balanced scoring attack with 8 points each while Nick Kunzman and Judd Jackson would add 5 each on a night when 10 JV Wildcats would get in the score book.

In the freshman game, the Wildcats would use a 23-13 final quarter to pull away from the Crusaders for a 50-39 win.

Payton Smith would lead the Cats in scoring with 16 points while Skip Caldwell would pour in 12, and Jace Ainsworth would add 7.

Both teams return to action January 2nd when they travel to Kilgore for the start of district play.
