Lady Cats fall to Nac, beat Marshall

The Whitehouse Lady Cats would suffer their second district loss of the year Tuesday as they would fall on the road to Nacogdoches, 59-45. The loss puts the Lady Cats at 1-2 in district play headed into the holiday break.
In the JV game, the Lady Cats would be defeated 39-28 while the freshman would come away victorious, 27-18.
After a tough home loss to Henderson to start district play, the Whitehouse Lady Cat varsity bounced back with a solid 63-47 win at home last Friday night over Marshall.
With the win, the Lady Cats evened up their district record at 1-1 as they travel to Nacogdoches Tuesday night to battle with the Lady Dragons.
Kayla Mason and Caroline Perrier would provide the offensive punch against Marshall as the two would combine for 8-16 shooting from behind the arc to pour in 23 and 21 points, respectively.
“We had a slow start, but later we came on strong. When we put together four quarters, we are going to be tough to beat,” stated Coach Willie Hill.
The freshman, JV and varsity girls will be traveling to Brownsboro on December 28th to play the Lady Bears starting at 5 p.m.
