Wyatt McAllister

Services for Wyatt Y. “Bubba” McAllister, 60, Tyler, were held Dec. 22 at St. James CME Church with Elder D.F Madlock officiating.

Burial was in Hall Cemetery, Mount Enterprise, under direction of Brooks-Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors, Tyler.

Mr. McAllister died Dec. 17, in Tyler.

He was born May 19, 1946, in Mount Enterprise to the late Curtis and Beatrice Wallace McAllister. He attended Texas College and The University of Texas at Tyler. He served in the Army and was a lab technician and member of St. James CME Church, where he served on Steward Board and taught Sunday school. He was preceded in death by sisters, Lavelda Littlefield and Evelyn Mitchell; and brother Leon McAllister.

Survivors include brothers, Homer J. McAllister, Longview, and Dwyane McAllister, Henderson; and sisters, El Doris McGill, Mount Pleasant, Celler Stene Wilkins and Dorothy Fuller, both of Austin, Nellie Hill, Whitehouse, Lavern Harden and Deborah Alexander, both of Tyler.

Pallbearers were Michael Kelly, Reginald McGill, Mark Hall, Johnathan McAllister, Willie Ray Adams, Earnest L. McAllister Jr., Claybon Holmes Jr. and Johnnie Bagley.

Honorary pallbearers were stewards of St. James CME Church.
