Services for Dorothy Catherine Beverley, 83 of Tyler were held April 25 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Dan Daugherty officiating. Burial followed at Cathedral in the Pines under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Mrs. Beverley passed away Sunday, April 22, 2007.

She was born on Sept. 6, 1923 in Chicago, Ill., to the late Catherine and Cyril Maher. Dorothy served in World War II, married Donald Beverley, and brought six children into the world. Dorothy's life affected many as she offered happiness to all she touched. Preceding her in death were Donald (husband of 53 years), many loved family members, and her angel grandchildren, Tiffany and Patrick. She was a Parishioner of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Whitehouse.

She is survived by her six children, Kathy and Russell Stange, Don Beverley, Carol and Dennis Blackwell, Tim Beverley, Terry and Cindy Beverley, Mary and Jason VanderVorste; brother, Cyril Maher; and sister, Patricia Mitchell. Further survivors include 17 grandchildren, Sherry, Russ, Brian, Carrie, Allison, Adam, Dawn, Michael, Alaina, Austin, Brent, Christin, Shannon, Kelly, Alex, Jordan and Amanda; 18 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Katie, Trevor, Reagan, Clay, Aaron, Bobby, Derrian, Troy, Michael, Benjamin, Tyler, Hayden, Berkley, Rudy, Avalyn, Noah and Dylan. Pallbearers were Russ Stange Jr., Brian Stange, Michael Blackwell, Brent Beverley, Austin Beverley and Alex VanderVorste.
