SCOUTING 'SHAKEDOWN'
Boy Scout Troop 359 of Whitehouse is pictured on a five-mile "shakedown" hike taken in preparation for an upcoming backpacking trip in the mountains of Oklahoma. Troop 359's schedule of upcoming events includes backpacking in Oklahoma in January, rifle and shotgun shooting at the Drott Farm in February, indoor rock climbing and rappelling in March, outdoor rock climbing and rappelling with a professional climbing outfitter in April, a father/son burn your own steak and skeet shoot in May, a mountain biking trip in June, a charter bus trip to summer camp in Oklahoma in July and a charter bus trip and overnight stay on the Lexington aircraft carrier in Corpus Christi in August.
