Membership drive results scheduled for discussion

Whitehouse Chamber of Commerce President Brent Conaway presents membership plaques to Eric Dorsey of Dorsey Homes, Bonnie Bevill of Texas Premier Properties and Robert Aiken of Robert Aiken Custom Homes.
The Whitehouse Area Chamber of Commerce will kick off 2007 with their quarterly luncheon Tuesday, Jan. 9 at noon at the Whitehouse United Methodist Church. Current members eat free and others are asked to pay $5. The meal is being provided by Austin Bank.

Reservations are requested. Call Sandra at 903-520-4585 and leave your name and how many will be attending.

While business and community leaders gather to share lunch, Mike Peterson, director of Community Development for the City of Whitehouse, and Stephanie Rollings of Planning Concepts will speak on the proposed new city park and theme ideas for a new "downtown face" for Whitehouse.

The Chamber will also brief members on new membership numbers and hear plans for the new year.

Proforma Horizon Total Source hosted the first Chamber membership tally-up party on Dec. 4, following the organization's membership drive.

Troy Bevill Jr., Cheryl Benson, Troy Bevill Sr. and Diane Nicholson of Proforma Horizon Total Source host the First Annual Whitehouse Chamber of Commerce Membership Tally-Up Party on Dec. 4th at their office on Main Street.
"We enjoyed visiting everyone that came by and are excited about the support we received from the community during our membership drive," said Diane Nicholson, chair of the Chamber's membership committee.

"Our first newsletter is coming soon and will list all members

of the Whitehouse Chamber of Commerce," said Nicholson. "We have so much to talk about and hope too see all of our members on Jan. 9."

Membership applications will be available at the luncheon.

Later that afternoon, from 5-7 p.m., TD Fitness will host Chamber After-hours.

After-hours is a new event for the Chamber. Every two months a different business will host the event and provide a time for businesspeople to come together in a relaxed atmosphere and network with one another.

If you have any questions regarding hosting an event or memberships, call Diane Nicholson at 903-871-8787 or email at diane.nicholson@proforma.com.
