A.C. 'Red' Harvey Services for A.C. "Red" Harvey, 86, Lindale, were held Dec. 30 at Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors chapel, Lindale, with Brother Buddy Hicks and the Rev. Chris Trent officiating. Burial was in Mount Sylvan Cemetery. Mr. Harvey died Dec. 27 in a Tyler hospital. He was born July 30, 1920, in Mount Sylvan community to the late Arthur Felix and Mar y Elizabeth Hester Harvey. He was a lifelong resident of the Lindale area and ser ved in the Navy for 15 years, including during World War II in the Pacific, and retired as a rural mail carrier from the postal service. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lindale, T.R. Bonner Masonic Lodge, Mount Sylvan, a 60-year member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, and member of American Legion Post No. 12. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Oleta Harvey; sisters, Jewel Boaz and Beth Biscamp; and brothers, Harold, Ed and Lloyd Harvey. Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Harvey, Lindale; son, Bryan Harvey, Dallas; daughter, Rebecca Paveglio, San Antonio; stepdaughters, Betty Luther, Tyler, Sharon Voyles and Deborah Williams, both of South Carolina; stepson, Bubba Howell, Troup; sisters, Imogene Wright, Kendalia, and Arahalene Smith, Garland; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Mutt Burleson, Roland Cowen, Daryl Crews, Jimmy Fleming, Wayne Simmons and Jack Gilbert. |
