JV, freshman Cats earn road wins over Dogs

The Whitehouse JV & freshman teams opened district play Tuesday night with big road wins against Kilgore.

In the JV game, Blake Anglin and Seth Cashion led the scoring attack with 15 and 10 points respectively, as the Cats earned a 54-27 win over the Bulldogs.

The Wildcats went on a 12-0 run late in the second quarter to help build a 30-15 halftime lead on the way to the victory.

In the freshman game, Payton Smith led a balanced scoring attack for the Wildcats in their 40-31 victory over the Bulldogs.

Smith had 11 points on the night, followed by Skip Caldwell with 8 and Reggie Wright 7.

The JV and freshman Cats will be at home Friday against Jacksonville.
