Varsity, JV squads defeat PT
      The Whitehouse Wildcats pulled out a close call Tuesday night on the road at Pine Tree defeating the Pirates, 39-35. Holding a three-point lead going into the final quarter, the Cats used some clutch free throw shooting down the stretch to claim the win and stretch their district record to 3-0.

      The Wildcat JV basketball boys overcame a sluggish start to post a 54-37 win over the Jacksonville Indians last Friday at Wildcat Arena. The Wildcats used a 17-6 run in the second quarter to build a 10-point lead at the half and then increased the lead after a 17-7 run in the third quarter.

      The Wildcat 8th grade boys' basketball teams split two games last week in Marshall. In the "B" game, the Cats lost a close one to the Mavericks with a score of 20-18. Simon Webb paced the Wildcats with 7 points followed by Austin Moore and Ryan Ralson with 5 each.
