Mike Lafferty

Graveside services for Mike Lafferty, age 58, of Troup, were held Jan. 8 at Knoxville Cemetery between Troup and New Summerfield with Brother Steve Butler officiating under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home, Tyler.

Mr. Lafferty died Jan. 2, 2007; at his residence.

He was born March 31, 1948, in Wellsville, N.Y, to the late Charles F and Alice Bunnell Lafferty. He was a retired owner/ opera-tor truck driver and had lived in the East Texas area for over 27 years.

He is survived by son, Chuck Lafferty and wife Jeannie of Henderson; daughter, Leslie Jorritsma and husband Jeff of New York; brother, Tim Lafferty and wife Debra of Porter; two sisters, Sharon Sage and Jan Bower, both of Georgia; and four grandchil-dren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Taylor, Tommy Neeley, Eddie Fleming and Gib Brown.
