CATS VS. PIRATES
Varsity, JV squads defeat PT

The Whitehouse Wildcats pulled out a close call Tuesday night on the road at Pine Tree defeating the Pirates, 39-35.

Holding a three-point lead going into the final quarter, the Cats used some clutch free throw shooting down the stretch to claim the win and stretch their district record to 3-0.

The Whitehouse Lady Cats picked up a much needed district win at home Tuesday night by defeating Pine Tree with a score of 36-26. The win moves the Lady Cats' district record to 2-4.

Kayla Mason led the way with 17 points.

In the JV game, the Lady Cats were victorious 37-28 while the freshmen were defeated, 21-13.

In the boys JV game, the Wildcats would take control of the game with an 11-0 run during the second quarter to post a 43-23 win over the Pirates while the freshman would suffer their second straight district loss, 46-28.

The Wildcats return to action tomorrow night as they go back on the road and head to Hallsville for a key district 12-4A match-up with the rival Bobcats.

Game time for the freshman tip off is at 5 p.m. with the JV to follow at 6:15 and the varsity at 7:30.

All Lady Cat basketball teams will be in action tomorrow night at home against Hallsville beginning at 5 p.m.
