Vietnam Veterans of America to meet

Keep Whitehouse Beautiful will meet Friday, Jan. 19 from 11 a.m. until noon in the activities building of the First Assembly of God Church at 502 Hwy. 110 S. Join this group as they continue to keep Whitehouse a beautiful and clean place to live.

Parkinsonians of East Texas meeting

Parkinsonians of East Texas will meet Thursday, Jan. 25 at 2 p.m. at East Texas Medical Center Pavilion, 801 Clinic Dr., Tyler. The program will include split group discussions with patients and caregivers. Parking is free for the meeting.

Whitehouse Recycle Center hours

The Whitehouse Recycle Center is open every Wednesday 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-5 p.m. as well as the first and third Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Avenue.

Whitehouse library activities

The Whitehouse Library offers these activities: Story time is on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and scrapbooking nights are the third Friday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Come visit the library!

Troup American Legion hosts karaoke

Troup American Legion Post 418 has karaoke every Saturday night from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Troup ring ceremony on Monday

The "True Love Waits" middle school ring ceremony will be held for all students and their parents who participated in the after-school program. It will be held at the high school auditorium on Monday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m.

Governmental Related Activities

Whitehouse Town Hall meeting

The public is encouraged to attend a Town Hall meeting to discuss future park development and water needs and solutions for the City of Whitehouse. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18 at Cain Elementary.
