Group seeks YesterYear nominations

The Whitehouse YesterYear organization has opened nominations for the annual Mr. and Mrs. YesterYear recognition. Deadline for receiving nominations is Jan. 31.

Individuals and organizations are invited to nominate someone who has made a contribution to the community and is deserving of recognition. The nomination may be for a couple or an individual.

The purpose of the YesterYear organization is to recognize and acknowledge the heritage of Whitehouse and the surrounding communities.

Mr. and Mrs. YesterYear will be honored with a tea that is open to the community. They will be guests and recognized at the annual Coronation and Ball and the Review at Whitehouse High School during the third and fourth week of June. On Saturday of the fourth week, they will be given a place of honor in the annual parade and will be introduced during the festivities in the Whitehouse City Park.

To nominate a deserving person or couple, mail your nominations to YesterYear, P.O. Box 1574, Whitehouse, TX 75791. Please include the address and telephone number of your nominees. Also include your contact information as well as a description of their contributions and why you nominated them.
