Christopher Lyon

Christopher Lyon died on Jan. 9, 2007 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He is survived by his wife of six and one-half years, Alexis W. Serio.

Chris was a gentle, loving and devoted husband. He was dedicated to his family, friends and wife, and loved them with all of his heart. He loved to make homemade biscuits and gravy and to watch the Steelers with his boxer dogs, Cecilia and Egon.

Chris Lyon was born on Oct. 24, 1973, in Greenville, S.C. He was an artist by profession. He and wife Alexis moved to Whitehouse in 2004.

Chris is also survived by his parents, Leland H. Lyon Jr., and Caroline Grist Lyon (Rabun Gap, Ga.); his brother and his wife, Jonathan and Holly Lyon (Grand Prairie); his aunt, Priscilla Ann Grist (Acworth, Ga.); his uncle, Dr. Stanford W. Grist (Greenville, S.C.); his aunt, Ann Lyon Phemister (Fort Collins, Colo.); and his aunt, Sara Jane Lyon, New York, N.Y; as well as numerous cousins. He is also survived by his parents-in-law, John N. and Faye A. Serio of Potsdam, N.Y ; his sister-in-law, Alisa W. Serio (Berkeley, Calif.); and his brother-in-law, Andrew W Serio (San Diego, Calif.).

The Chris Lyon Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established and donations may be made to the East Texas Community Foundation, 315 N. Broadway, Suite 210, Tyler, 75702.
