The Junior High Lady Cat basketball teams were in action last week as they traveled to Kilgore.

The "B" team put forth a great effort in a close, hardfought battle with the Lady Bulldogs, pulling out the onepoint victory with a score of 22-21.

Krystal Gordon led all scorers with 8 points while Alison Peck added 6, and Christina Cobb totaled 5 points in the win.

"The "B" game was a great game, and all of the girls played so hard. They were behind the whole game practically, but came back and won," said Coach Stacy Parker.

The "A" team did not fair as well as they fell to Kilgore, 34-27.

After holding a lead for most of the game, the Lady Cats saw the game slip away in the final quarter.

Ashlee Lambert led the Lady Cats in scoring on the night with 8 points, while Rachel Kidwell had 7, and Chastity Stewart added 4.

"We had a lead most of the game, but we lost our composure during the last quarter of the game," said Coach Parker.

The Junior High Lady Cat basketball teams will be off today, but will play host to Jacksonville next Thursday beginning at 5 p.m.
