Toole earns All-ET honors

Senior Brittani Toole has added another honor to her 2006 volleyball resume: most valuable player on the All-East Texas team, as chosen by the
Tyler Morning Telegraph sports writers from area coaches' nominations.
Other Lady Cats on the All-East Texas team are Joanna Blake, third team; and Brittany Jordan and Melany Perez, honorable mentions.
Troup's Alysha Barton, MVP setter of her district, also earned honorable mention status.
Leading her team to a 24-9 season and a bidistrict championship, Toole racked up 491 kills, 76 blocks, 404 service points and 55 aces. The bi-district victory over Lindale (25-20, 25- 17, 18-25, 19-25, 15-12) was the Lady Cats first playoff win since 1998.
Toole also earned all-district honors and received a first-team all-state nod by the Texas Sports Writers Association.
Joining Toole on the All-East Texas first team are Alisia Kastmo, All Saints; Kourtney Adams, Hallsville; Jordan Woodruff, Union Grove; Lindsey Shipp, Harmony; Sarah Sivertson, Robert E. Lee; Hannah Finch, Lindale; Amber Cooke, Gilmer; LeTara Johnson, John Tyler; and Callie Miller, Bullard.
