KEITH LINDSEY

KEITH LINDSEY

Keith Lindsey is serving his second year as a TISD board trustee. He holds Place 1 on the board.

After graduating from THS in 1978, Keith attained degree work from Tyler Junior College, Texas State Technical College and The University of Texas at Tyler.

He has had various executive management level positions with both public and private companies varying from small entrepreneurial start-ups to Fortune 50 corporations. Mergers and acquisitions involving the necessary "due diligence" activities have been a significant part of his professional experiences.

With an engineering background and over seven product patents to his credit, he currently serves as corporate product and engineering manager for a Jacksonville corporation.

Keith has served on a number of charitable and community-based non-profit organizations and is currently on the board of directors for the Jacksonville United Fund and the Cherokee County Soil and Water Conservation District. Previous board experiences with the Jacksonville Economic Development Advisory Board and other professional organizations provide a wide range of involvement activities.

JOHNNY JOHNSON

Keith is a lifetime resident of TISD and resides in the Mixon community with his wife, Barbara, and their daughter Kala. They have two children: son Gabe, who graduated from THS in 1997, and Kala, who is currently in the 6th grade. Keith and his family are active members of First Baptist Church in Troup. JOHNNY JOHNSON

Johnny Johnson is serving his third year as a TISD Board Trustee. He currently holds Place 6 on the board.

He is a lifetime resident of Troup and is active in the community.

He has been married to wife Melanie for 18 years. They are the proud parents of two children, who are presently attending TISD.

Johnson and his family attend First United Methodist Church of Troup where he serves as treasurer.

After graduating from Troup High School, Johnson attended Tyler Junior College and Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Ag Business. KENT LINDSEY

Kent Lindsey is serving the second year of his second term as a board member. He currently serves in Place 3. Serving Troup ISD is not new to Kent. He is a returning board trustee who also served from 1993 to 2002.

KENT LINDSEY

Kent is a native of Troup. He graduated from Troup High School in 1981 and Tyler Junior College in 1983.

He has been married to his wife, Lissa, for 22 years. They have three children: Ty, who recently graduated; Curt, who is an 11th grader at Troup High School; and Kristin, an 8th grader at Troup Middle School.

Kent is the owner of TCK Consulting, a food service consulting company. He is also employed by Chicago Gourmet Steaks. MELISSA YOUNG

Currently serving as TISD Board Secretary, Melissa Young is completing her fifth consecutive year as a TISD board trustee. She holds Place 2 on the board. She has also served as an officer in the TISD PTO for six years.

Young is a lifetime resident of Troup where she is an active member of the community. She and her husband, Tim, have been married for 21 years and have two children. They are members of First United Methodist Church in Troup where she is a Sunday school teacher and director of the Children's Choir. After graduating from Troup High School, Young attended Tyler Junior College and North Texas University in Denton. HOMER JONES

MELISSA YOUNG

Homer Jones is serving in his 28th consecutive year as a TISD board trustee. He holds Place 5 on the board. In the past, Jones has also served as president and vice president.

Jones and his wife, Ruby, have been married for 29 years. They are the proud parents of two children and seven grandchildren. Jones is currently a member of Grace Temple Church.

He was recognized as Citizen of the Year by the Troup Chamber of Commerce in 2004. After graduating from Troup High School, Jones attended Prairie View A&M University. BILL LACY

Bill Lacy is now serving in his fourth consecutive year as a TISD board trustee. He holds Place 7 on the board and currently holds the office of vice president. Lacy and his wife Aida have been married for 13 years. They are the proud parents of two children who presently attend Troup Elementary.

Lacy is a lifetime resident of Troup where he is an active member of the community. He is a member of the Troup PTO, the Tyler Citizens Police Academy, and Junior Achievement.

Lacy currently serves as the branch manager for the Troup Banking Center, a subsidiary of Kilgore National Bank.

HOMER JONES

Lacy and his family are members of First Baptist Church of Mixon where Lacy serves as a deacon. He also teaches a Sunday school class and is a member of the Building Committee.

After graduating from Troup High School, Lacy attended Tyler Junior College, Texas A&M and Sam Houston State University. JOE PAUL MCELROY

Joe Paul McElroy is currently completing his 13th consecutive year as a TISD board trustee. He is the TISD board president and holds Place 4 on the board. McElroy has also ser ved as board secretary in the past.

After graduating from Troup High School, McElroy attended Tyler Junior College and The University of Texas at Austin.

McElroy is a lifetime resident of Troup where he is an active member in the community. He is currently a member of the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and serves as chairman of the board for the Cameron - J. Jarvis Troup Municipal Library.

McElroy was also awarded "Man of the Year" by the Troup Chamber of Commerce.

McElroy and his wife, Barbara, have two children who also graduated from Troup High School. They are the proud grandparents of one grandson.

BILL LACY

He and Barbara attend church at First United Methodist Church of Troup where McElroy is a member of the administrative board and serves as chairman of the Permanent Endowment Fund Committee.
