TJC schedules free financial-aid workshops

Applying for financial aid can be a daunting task for college students.

With that in mind, the Tyler Junior College Office of Financial Aid is hosting a series of free workshops to assist students with filing the proper paperwork.

The workshops, each held in Room 106 of the Pirtle Technology building on the TJC main campus, will be offered on the following dates:

* 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26; * 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19;

* 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15.

Students should bring: their 2006 1040 Income Tax form and 2006 W-2 form(s); their parents' 2006 1040 Income Tax form and 2006 W-2 form(s); any untaxed income year-end statements for 2006, such as child support received, Social Security, etc.
