Cottle, James exchange vows

MRS. JESSE ANTHONY JAMES
Miss Candace Gail Cottle and Mr. Jesse Anthony James, both of Tyler, were united in marriage on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, at six in the evening at the First United Methodist Church, Troup. The Rev. Mike Cline officiated the double-ring ceremony. The wedding vows were exchanged in the altar area surrounded by a winter wonderland of snow-covered trees with a garden arch and gate decorated with pine boughs and roses.

Wedding music included Sunrise, Sunset, seating of parents, For the Beauty of The Earth, bridal party, Handel's Royal Fireworks, bride's entrance, and One Hand, One Heart, lighting the unity candle. The bride and groom left the church to the main theme from "Star Wars" with an arch of light sabers. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Holleytree Country Club, Tyler.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Cottle of Troup, is a graduate of The University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor of Science degree. She teaches fourth grade science and math at W. L. Kissam Intermediate School, Chapel Hill Independent School District.

The bride wore an elegant gown of organza over satin flowing into a cathedral length train with scattered beaded motifs. The molded bodice of rouched organza had a portrait neckline enhanced with silver scroll embroidery, accented with pearls, sequins, and bugle beads.

Her veil was designed with a silver embroidered scalloped edge, embellished with sequins and pearls. She carried a cascading bouquet of cymbidium orchids and calla lillies.

The groom, son of Mrs. Anna James of Tyler and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth James of Marshall, is a graduate of The University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor of Science degree and is seeking his master's in biology. He is teaching biology labs at The University of Texas at Tyler.

Matron of honor was Catherine Wallum, sister of the bride. Maid of Honor was Jonna Dowdy.

Bridesmaids were Wendy McMichael, Jacquelynne Franklin, Melissa Nicholson, and Stephanie Davis.

The bridesmaids' gowns were wine duchess satin highlighted with beading. The bridesmaid's bouquets were balls of roses, alstromeria, and freesia carried by a velvet ribbon loop.

Flower girl was Nona Goodwin, cousin of the bride. She scattered sparkling snowflakes for the brides processional.

Honor attendants were Mrs. Randi Dunn, Celeste Cartwright, and Paige Daniel.

Best men were Frank James, brother of the groom, Chris Spier, Chris Albright, Cody Barnes, Jason Glasscock, Rodrigo Ramirez.

Ushers were Vincent James, Neal Sepmore, Richard McCullough, Jake Goodwin, and Max Goodwin.

The couple will reside in Tyler and plan to honeymoon in Costa Rica this summer.
