Boys run rampant over Henderson Lions In what some thought might be a closer game, the Whitehouse Wildcats came out smoking last Tuesday night against the visitors from Henderson and picked up a resounding 68-42 victory. The Wildcats would blow out the Lions in the first half, building a 40-19 lead at the break that Henderson could not overcome. Cade Clark would lead the offensive charge with 19 points while Brady Parker would add 13, and Kyle Ford and Mitch Marquis would add 9 points each. The Wildcat defense was the real star for the game as it shut down the Lion offense and basically made it a "one man show". "We knew we had to control Doogie Brown. He is a good player, and the team feeds off of him," said Coach Wally Dawkins. "Although Brown had 23 points tonight, most of them came early in the first half when we built a big lead, and I felt that the defensive job we did tonight was the difference." |
