Junior high teams split matches with Elysian Fields

The Troup junior high boys took to the court against Elysian Fields on Jan. 18, with the seventh grade a big winner, 51-20, and the eighth-grade losing by two, 27-29.

In the seventh-grade contest, big scorers were Carson Clark with 21 and KiKi Shanks with 20. Also contributing were Kirby Lyons, Corey Jones, Chris Villalobos, Dylan Goar and Will Langston with 2 each.

Caleb Gibson led the way for the eighth-graders with 12 points. Ryan Nichols chipped in 9, followed by Dalvin Franklin with 4 and Jamal Martin 2.
