JV, freshmen continue to roll

The Whitehouse JV and freshman teams continued on their roll in district play last Friday at home as both teams defeated the Kilgore Bulldogs.

The JV team was led by Bart Henderson's 15 points on their way to a 57-23 blow out of the Bulldogs.

Henderson would be followed by Justin Kellar with 9, Seth Cashion with 8, and Brady Attaway with 7 as the JV remained unbeaten in district play with an 8-0 record.

The freshman game was a lot closer, but the Cats prevailed with a 51-43 victory.

The Wildcats were led in scoring by Skip Caldwell with 16 and Payton Smith with 9 points. Jace Ainsworth added 6, and Austin Kea and Jacob Hilburn each scored 5.

With the win, the freshman Cats remained in the heat of the district race with a 6-2 record.

Both teams will play Pine Tree tomorrow night at Wildcat Arena beginning at 5 p.m.
