Girls notch upset of Nacogdoches

The Lady Cat varsity would come up with a huge win at home last Tuesday as they knocked off Nacogdoches with a score of 52-43. The Lady Dragons came into this game with an undefeated district record.

The win puts the Lady Cats right in the middle of the playoff race as they head into the final few games of the season.

The Lady Cats were led in scoring by freshman sharpshooter Carline Perrier, who would knock down 5 threes for a game high of 15 points.

Perrier would have plenty of help as the Lady Cats would have balanced scoring from their starters as Alicia Cordova would add 11 points, and Kayla Mason and Brittani Toole would add 9 points each.

"The keys to this win were good defense, teamwork and taking care of the ball. We just need to stay focused and finish strong," said Coach Willie Hill.
