Junior high Lady Cats win 3 of 4

The Whitehouse Junior High Lady Cats were in action last Thursday night playing host to the Lady Maidens of Jacksonville.

In the first game of the night, the 7th grade "B" team lost a close one to Jacksonville with a score of 8-9.

Scoring for the Lady Cats were Michelle Stewart and Brooke Organ with 3 points each, and Kristie Molloy with 2.

The 7th grade "A" team fared much better as they trounced the Lady Maidens, 26-9.

Scoring for the Lady Cats were Erica Jordan and Chestley Strother with 8 points each, Kenzie Patterson and Madison Melrose with 4, Shelby Galloway with 2, and Sierra Kennedy with 1 point.

The 8th grade teams both came out victorious as the "A" team won 23-15, and the "B" team picked up a 24-10 win.

Christina Cobb led the "B" game in scoring with 9 points followed by Allison Peck with 8, Krystal Gordon with 4, Mallory Dolan with 2, and Danielle Nelson with 1 point.

The "A" team was led in scoring by Rachel Kidwell with 6 points followed by Kandice Harlan and Caroline Weathers with 4 each, Katye Frye with 3, and Megan Alexander, Jessica Morgan, and Ashlee Lambert with 2 each.

The 8th grade junior high Lady Cats will be on the road today as they face Nacogdoches (Moses) beginning at 5 p.m.
