Junior high Tigers defeat Bears

Troup's junior high boys teams had no trouble handling the Timpson Bears on Thursday, Jan. 25. The seventh-graders triumphed 59-29, and the eighth-graders won big, 36-12.

Leading the way for the seventh graders was Carson Clark, who hit four 3-pointers and scored 24 points overall. Clark has been hot from the outside, making five 3-point shots in last week's game against Elysian Fields.

Other scorers against Timpson were Kiki Shanks with 21, Chris Villalobos 9, Dylan Goar 3 and Kirby Lyons 2.

Ryan Nichols was the high scorer for the eighth-graders with 20. Others contributing were Caleb Gibson with 6, Dalvin Franklin 4, Ethan Issacks 4 and Jamal Martin 2.
