Joyce Grigg Amos

Services for Joyce Grigg Amos, 67, Troup, are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton, with the Rev. Dr. Ron Klingsick officiating.

Additional services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Feb. 13 at Monterey Peninsula Mortuary, Seaside, Calif.

Burial will be in at Mission Memorial,Park, Seaside, Calif.

Mrs. Amos died Feb. 5, 2007, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 7, 1940, in Springfield, Mo., to the late Robert "Bob" and Stella Chichester Grigg.

She was a lifelong resident of California and moved to East Texas two years ago. She was employed by Mervyn's in Salinas, Calif., for 20 years, and was a member of Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Whitaker.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Ellsworth Amos Jr., Troup; son; Robert Amos, Memphis, Tenn.; daughters, Terri Arrendale, Rio Rancho, N.M., and Leslie McChristy, Boise; Idaho; sisters, Laura Sieber, Troup, and Marilyn Jones and Dorothy Klein, both of Overton; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
