Jake Jasper

Services for Jake Jasper, 60, Troup, were held Feb. 3 at Deliverance Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, Troup, with the Rev. R. Davis officiat-ing.

Burial was in the Community Cemetery Troup, under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co, Tyler.

Mr. Jasper died Jan. 26, 2007, in a Tyler hospital.

He was born Sept. 22, 1946, in Smith County and was a lifelong resi-dent of Smith County. He attended Central High School in Troup and was a bricklayer and member of Deliverance Tabernacle COGIC. He was preceded in death by. his mother and grandparents.

Survivors include his wife, Elmira Jasper, Dallas; daughter, Stacy Jasper, Dallas; father, John Jasper, Troup; brothers, Emerson Jasper, Jacksonville, and Ed Jasper, Troup; and sisters, Shirley Jasper, Las Vegas, Nev., and Irene Daniels, Troup.

Pallbearers were Terrell Copeland, Micheal Jasper, Eugene West, Jerry Jiles, David Sutton and Myreon

Stroud. Honorary pallbearers are Shane Jasper, Edward Jasper, Eric Jasper, Dedrick Jasper, Jeremy Jasper, Douglas Jasper, Roy Daniels Jr., Davion Foster, Christopher Foster, Jeremy Jasper and Myreon Stroud.
