Bessie Ellis Duncan

Services for Bessie Lorene Ellis Duncan, 81, Tyler, were held Feb. 1 at Lloyd James Funeral Home chapel, Tyler, with Bro. John Cook Jr. officiating. Burial was in Flint Cemetery.

Mrs. Duncan died Jan. 29, 2007, in Tyler.

She was born March 10, 1925, in Corum, Okla., to the late David Hugh and Nealie Bell Bain Ellis. She was a home health nurse and a member of Noonday Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by brothers, Bill, Jiggs and Wayne Ellis; and sisters, Edna Noble, Ellen Southard, Belle Driver and Dorothy Gaiser.

Survivors include sisters, Nan Casey, Tyler, Jeannie Smith, Noonday, and Rachel Terrell, Colfax; brothers, Fizz Ellis, Whitehouse, and Mack Ellis, Dallas; nieces and nephews. Nephews served as pallbearers.
