Lady Cats clinch playoff spot

The Whitehouse Lady Cats clinched a playoff spot last Friday night with a 36-26 win on the road against the Pine Tree Lady Pirates.

At press time, the Lady Cats were to face either Sulphur Springs or Texas High on Tuesday, time and location TBA.

Brittani Toole and Kayla Mason provided the scoring punch with 11 points each as the Lady Cats used their trademark pressure defense to seal the victory.

"As it has been all year, our defense carried us in this win," stated Coach Willie Hill.

In the JV game, the Lady Cats fell to the Lady Pirates 39- 34 as Haley Aldridge led the way with 12 points, followed by Regan Hawkins with 10.
