Wildcats reach 10-0 mark

Most people who came to Wildcat Arena last Friday night will remember that it was "Mavs Man" night as the famous mascot for the Dallas Mavericks made his way to Whitehouse to entertain the crowd and bring a few highlights to a lot of kids.

There was also a key district 12-4A game that night that saw the Wildcats build a commanding 32-16 lead at the half and then never look back on their way to a 63-41 victory over the Pine Tree Pirates.

Coupled with last Tuesday's 52-37 road win at Jacksonville, the Cats reached the 10-0 mark in district action.

Against Pine Tree, Kyle Ford led the scoring attack with 16 points while his backcour t mate, Mitch Marquis, poured in 12 points, and Cade Clark also reached double figures with 11.

A key to the Jacksonville victory was balanced scoring that saw Cade Clark, Kyle Ford and Brady Parker all pace the Wildcats with 12 points each.

"We did a great job defensively tonight; we held their leading scorer, Chappelle, to only six points," said Coach Wally Dawkins, who has 19 straight winning seasons.
